With Kaldnes - for koi ponds or larger systems people normally calculate the total amount of media required based on size of livestock and feeding volumes.

88L of volume, would mean 52L of media.

Have you considered using the K1 / K1 micro, as is much more efficient. I use the micro.

I just used plastic canvas, used for knitting, and siliconed it over the gaps in the baffles to keep all the media in and works a treat. Keep media in and water flows through.

I got it for like £10 at hobbycraft.
