Kamfa/red Texas mix

bought this little one labeled as a super red Texas but it looks like a flowerhorn/kamfa to me, what do you guys think?
I’m really diggin the pearls and fiesty personality with the flarring gills and it looks like it’s a female...

That would be a cool mix...also, are you able to tell if it’s female by the color/black of the dorsal fins? That is what some told me..

No one can give you a definitive answer regarding sex, unless the fish is vented. I said she, due to the head profile, and black in the dorsal. Ditto to the genetic make up, it's a hybrid cross, so unless you personally know the breeder, and what they used, then it simply becomes a guessing game.

As RD stated, it has to be vented plus it might be to young to tell even if its vented.
