well i have bass fished on a kayak but never anything that big, but after getting used to to the movements it is fun.

I have used a kayak to get back into some lagoons near me, you can't take a boat in because it is way to shallow and its a real hard walk, but I prefer to use a Canoe because I like being uphigher and going with a buddy. I just have a little otter and is not really adiquit for fishing. Its nice if you can get back in there in the spring you can really nail the crappies! I could imagin a tarpon would be alot of fun in a Kayak, my buddy and I had a pair of nothern pike on at the same time in a canoe and boy was that alot of fun!! Kayak would have just been Crazy!!:headbang2

There is a group of guys that fish for land locked striped bass in north Georgia out of kayaks. Probably not the same as a 100lb tarpon, but a 25 pound striper can still tow you around. Some even troll umbrella rigs out of kayaks!

Thats cool. A 100 lb tarpon would be awesome in a kayak!!! This summer i look forward to taking the longboard out for fishing, and maybe a few waves

yea up in New england i take a kayak our sometimes in the shallows near my friends beach house liveline eels and sandworms nail em all incoming tide

Have fished a little bit out of my kayak for bass and stripers. Had a nice striper pull me upstream a short distance before wrapping around a rock and breaking off.

we use them for surf fishing, getting the big baits out there

I saw a video of a guy catch a 750 lb marlin in a kayak. It must be hardcore
