Keeping 2 Or More Armatus Together.

i have 4 still and its almost a year... injuries here and there but nothing major... they were in 75g.. just moved to 210g... the largest IT datnoid i have keeps them in check.. so i guess that lessen their aggression toward each other... i don't know.. well see in another year on how they do...

since you only have 2:
try overfeeding them first daily, if that doesn't work --> large dithers--> then if not i guess u just have to separate them or attempt to add more to see if that helps (risky).. lol

Have you seen that episode of river monsters where the one ate the other one,
they were both approx. the same size, one ate the other and was choking to death when they found it and pulled the fish out of its mouth.

my two 6inch armatus have been fighting as well but it is just terratorial they dont mess with my sds jurapari pbass and definatly not my yellowtail cuda just themselves but i am makeing sure they dont kill each other but basicly there just chargeing each other

i still have them together in the 250 and nothing has changed

they will be fine for a few weeks, then they will get in a fight

i still dont know wht to do. i hate to sell one, then have something happen to the other one...

imo trev keeping a pair is asking for trouble, more specimens definately spreads the aggression. that being said that's just my opinion, i've never kept more than one large armatus and i dont even dare to keep them with my gars for fear of a shanking incident.

personally, my first choice would be to get another tank and keep them seperately, followed by getting some more, and then third option to sell one. but i personally wouldn't keep em both together
