Hi all! this is my first post! and I have been very intersted in stingrays. I will be getting a 180 in a couple months and was wondering if it would be possible to have a pair of rays. I was thinking motoros but they get kinda big. what about the reticulated rays? will they do ok in a 180? I do not have space for a pond right now but maybe next year I will. the only tank mates with the rays might be a couple discus. thanks :)

P.S. I have had freshwater tanks for 6 years and saltwater tanks for 2 years

I would recommend a 270 if ur going to try to breed rays...Thats just my suggestion...

I think a 180 is to small for most rays especially if u plan to breed them...

There are smaller rays around. Motoros would not be a good candidate for a 180. Even my retics got a lil crowded in a 180 and needed to be moved. A male retic would be okay in the 180, maybe even a pair depending on who you ask.

You can keep pups in a 180 but once they grow to about 10" you will need to move them, rehome them, or sell them...
