tank above is a 210 same dimensions as a 180 just a bit taller.

;)

I would not say that a female motoro could live for life in a 6x2 tank, but can reach breed-able size in that size tank. eventually MOST motoro will out grow it in 2-3 years...

IMO hystrix are a great ray for that size tank... depending on your views... a female hystrix may one day outgrow a 6x2 tank, but probably will be fine for life. IMHO

Rays need room.. The wider the tank, the better. A 180 gallon tank is NOT big enough for any ray in my opinion. Motoro rays esp. Motoro rays can get up to 30" round.. It may take some time to get there, but even at a year, a 10" motoro needs more than a 18" wide tank.. Esp if you have two in there.
Would you want to live in an area that was only 8" wideer then you were.
If you plan to get Motoro rays, plan on a wide tank.
Wider is better with ALL rays.. Plus the wider the tank, the better you have a chance for breeding..

ALL JUST MY OPINION OF COURSE

your rt. Sorry, was thinking of my foot print of my 150...
But even still, a 24" wide tank is not good for Motoro's... Being the average is 30" round, but it can house them for a few years starting from pups.
My opinion is still that rays need wide tanks or even ponds..
I myself keep my Motoro's in 30" to 36" wide tanks till they are about a year and a half. Im working on ponds for all mine now to give them even more room..

If you are wanting rays, and have to stick with the 180 gallon tank, might try smaller breeds...
