yes I agree, cleaning that tall tank is a total hassle. I'm already having a hard time getting rid of slime from my 30" tall tank let alone a 5 feet tall tank. A magnet can help but in vacuuming the waste or left over is another thing. Going up and down is way to hassle unless it's a woman as they don't mind going up and down. Lol!

In most rivers and lakes 5' IS the shallows.
I don't see any problem for the bichirs. It should keep them in great shape as well.
Cleaning is easy too. Just slap on the diving mask and in you go!
