Keeping catfish with smaller fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've noticed alot of places in the UK label as Siamese tigers, but most add micro not pulcher in the description somewhere.

Oh and I tend to agree . you'd end up with a fat and happy catfish.

It's a bit naughty really, but then it's possible they are only labelling as per the wholesalers info. Thats still a good price for an indo. I paid 17 for mine and they were a bit smaller than 3.5"

I find it alot easier adding pics from the app than from the pc.

The achara thats going in, has been with very small fish his whole life so far, with no predation occurring. Do you think even under those circumstances, it's 100% he'll go for them?

It isn't 100%. More like 95.

So a grow up is a must, how big do you think they'll need to be before they can go in with him?

Bigger than its mouth. If it won't fit in its mouth the worst it can do is try and fail. If its too small it may not get eaten, but may get stuck in its mouth/throat. Not sure what size to suggest cus im not sure on your species of catfish or how big it gets. As to the dat, try and post a pic. Even a pic on your phone. ITs can vary in colour/ stripe pattern or number of stripes. Is that the differences you meant?

Up until the achara is quite large it will grow faster than the other fish you mentioned. So it could take years to grow out the smaller ones to an appropriate size, considering that the catfish will generally outgrow them.
