Does anyone here keep datnoids without any driftwood or cover? How does having a tank without driftwood affect their personalities?

in my ntts tank, there is driftwood btu hec an't use it to hide, anyways but I personally prefer it, because I see it more often and it doesn't try to hide as much

i have a 180 with barebone bottom without anything for the dats to hide..it consist of aro, 2 Marble motoros, and 2 Blood parrots, my ITs are always not stable but when i shut the lights off they will be little bit more stable and the NGT is the same also.
in my 56 column tank it's also barebone with no place to hide but it's only a dat tank which consist of 4 2.5" - 3" ITs and a 12"IT with 1 x 4" NTT and a 5" NGT..

if you have hiding places in the tank the fish will use them

you will see you fish more without out drift wood

From my experience they are less stable with out hiding spots.

from my experience they are more stable without driftwood when they hide they go black and try to blend in to the driftwood

and lets be fair how can you give a 20 inch + tiger a hiding place

how about a 20" + Driftwood.. or go to a home improvement store for a PVC fitting that's 20" +... :D...

My IT is always stable with drift wood in his tank. When I had just substrate in the tank, he was always black and hid in the top corner.

Sometimes they are stable with Wood, sometimes the other way round. I tinkered with both types of set up, and after a while, I prefer no hiding spaces. They tend to display and interact with each other more....
