Keeping eartheaters in a planted tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i had some big swords in with my jurupari. they had a good root system so they were hard to dig up. my delhezi on the other hand would burrow right under it and wiggle around unlodging it

Thanks for the kind words. I am not set up to maintain plants properly, so they are like consumables....need a new batch every few weeks. Anubias are my favorite - they don't die :D

x2 Anubias and Java fern are your best bet. I have all of the fish the OP mentions and they could care less about plants. My Abalios are bigger and uproot anything I try and plant in the substrate. I only have plants that can be tied to driftwood.

Thanks for the advice :) Would river rocks or beach rocks work?

Both would. Just rocks that you can put around and over the roots to keep them covered in. Even large gravel that can't fit in the eartheaters mouth if you wanted, but i'd prefer pebbles.
