I currently have a pair of Gold Saums male around 6" female 3" TL. My lfs has recently got in some silver saums around the 2.5-3"TL size. I am wondering if i were to get a few would my pair attack/kill them? Or not be bothered?

The tank will be a 130g ((i think) 3x3x2) which i am picking up on sunday :D:D (i have the media ready so it will be a quick fill and stock) which i think will become a peruvian biotope. Focused on/around either my silver or gold saums.

Does anybody have any experience in keeping multiple GTs? If so what happened?

Nobody has any input?

I don't think it will work with a tank that short. try going for a 6ft 135 that would be better but since you already have a pair they might wipe out the rest. try removing the pair and adding the silver saums then after a month or two add the pair back.

I have a 180, but i was trying to thin down the stock in that. I can always grow out the Silver Saums in the 130 then add the Golds later. I just thought it would be real nice if i had both to contrast against eachother.

Here is a pic of the silver saums.

Ones with red tips are just gold saums, with red tips. They vary so much in colour, but all come under the same bracket.

I kept multiple "gold saum" in a 6' tank with no problems, but they also grew up together which I feel makes a difference. Just remember when trying to keep "gold saum" and "white saum" together that they will cross and you will end up with mixed batches of fry, some that are white trimmed and some that are gold trimmed. Be aware also that the "true" white seamed GT are called Andinoacara Stalsbergi which is a separate fish from the traditional "white saum" GT

Thanks, i was hoping someone may have tried this previously. The ones i am looking to get are white saums. Not the stalsberg(i)s. I don't plan on crossbreeding the two. I plan on having either 2 seperate pairs, or keeping the best looking pair.
