Hello,
So we were fishing over the weekend at Lake Meade
just outside of Las Vegas,

We caught two channel catfish one right at 4''
the second around 6''
I currently have:
8'' RTC
12'' TSN
6'' RTCxTSN
All in a 450 gallon.
We have already bought our liner to our new above
ground pond.
Have you guys every successfully kept wild caught
catfish before with a stock like this?
I put both babies in a 110 and I've cranked the temp
Ive already added para-clear to this tank.

What do you guys think for the long run?
total we want to keep:
RTC,TSN,RTCxTSN,CHANNEL,BULLHEAD,BLUE CATFISH
we are looking at close to 3,000 gallon above ground pool.
Thank You

I don't think a bullhead would do good in that setup because they max out at a foot, usually less. Sorbet would probably get bullied and possibly maybe even eaten in the long run. I don't know about the others though.

channel cats r good cat pets even from wild but theyre also pretty fast growing n they like to eat

I kept a channel with a rtc and tsn without a problem but he wasnt wild caught. The only thing I can think of is he might introduce a pathogen from this region. Being from SA the other cats may not have the correct antibodies to fight it off and could get sick...

Mine owned his cave and never let any of the other big cats near it though he didn't have a problem with small fish. Pic of him in the cave is my avatar
