Keeping plants down

What are some simple ways to keep them down? it took me 20mins to rut a plant that keep getting away from me when i went to spreed the gravel over the roots... and still wasn't able to cover all the ruts. :(

After putting it into the substrate, lightly pack the substrate around it, that usually works for me. Some stubborn plants get put in side ways, and then I let them straighten themselves out. :thumbsups:

What kind of plants do you have? Stem plants are the ones that give me the most trouble, but I find that they do well when you stick part of the stem down into the substrate.

two Swords. i have small small grain stuff. its just gravel... cant pack them that good. and its about an inch and a half in some places give or take.
