Does anybody know about caring for lobsters, like those big ones that are meant for eating? I think it would be pretty interesting keeping a few of them.

Well first thing is that 'real' lobsters are from saltwater, so there by making them not a freshwater invertebrate.

I'll move this to SW for you.

Homarus americanus is the common Maine lobster, which is harvested from the ocean primarily for consumption by the rich.

Oh well, then WyldFya, my bad. But there are some very large fw lobsters. Anyway...does anybody have info about them?

it looks like a nope so far and i havent any knowledge of freshwater lobsters only sw ...

there are FW lobsters they are called prawns. (the REAL prawn not just big shrimp) but for SW there are spiny and maine lobsters, which are the two most commonly eaten lobsters. both COULD be kept but need large tanks and mostly sand which is harder to maintain nitrates in.

Not just salt water either but very COLD salt water....brrrrrrrrrrr
