Yep, prices are around $7/lb in RI. You have to get them from the right place too....direct from the docks or from a seller close by. The grocery store over-prices on them by a few bucks a lb, usually.

i do take care of lobster tank, a 150g that have divider , one side americam lobster , the other side europian lobster.is to be pic to being eat fresh in the rest were iam weadwaiter, the tank have big ehein canister, a chiller that keep water at 14c or 57f , lots of air bubbles, i dont give food because they dont stay long time before going to the grill .
My prices are 120 euros for the Europian and 90 for the Americam per kilo or
2.2046 pounds, so they are expensive meal

I'm surprised the European lobsters are more expensive.
