Wow that sucks! Your heaters would be working overtime on that if you had it in the garage. Supprised you dont have a door going into the house over 31" . How do you get furniture in there?
thats a good point also i was thinking the height was the major factor but it should fit if you put the top in first i have a simmilar problem but just opted for a smaller tank

i dont think so, i think it should be fine in the winter. but i will be running 1500w of heating so that should take care of it!

it would fit threw a door but its just to heavy and i think it would barely fit, it would just be a pain plus my parents don’t want them upstairs, well the garage does have a heater its just that we never had a reason to turn it on, but I don’t think it will be a problem I was just kind of curious on what some of you guys are doing maybe putting instillation around the tank and stuff like that.

Well, in any case, it's going to be more power efficient to heat the water in the aquarium than to heat the room around it. Any insulation you can put around the tank during the winter would be a big plus.

You could do it no problem. Insulate everything, including the front with thick foam. Make the panels removable for viewing. Get some serious heaters and enjoy!

A better option would be to insulate and heat the garage. It might be less expensive than having large aquarium heaters pulling 24x7

Agree. I would go with the latter ^^ That away hopefully from summer to winter temps wouldn't fluctuate that much needing you to turn up/turn down your heaters all the time.

well i thought of these things we used to keep the dogs water from freezing i guess it was like a heater thing that sat at the bottom from tractor supply if i didn’t have enough or the heaters weren’t doing good enough but i should have plenty of heaters I think.
