Do not use the chemical pH buffers! The pH buffers they sell, such as the powder, and unstable and are very stressful for fish. Adding some coral or dolomite will buffer the pH naturally. Perhaps if you have driftwood in the fish tank, removing that will help as well.

How big is the tank and what fish? Any idea what your tap pH is?

Be very sure that you do a thorough gravel vac each water change if you have a problem with acidification.

my PH would drop drastically over a period of a week so i added 1 kg of crushed shell in 2 seperate bags in my external and my PH was changing from 7.0 - 6.0. after adding the shell it stays around 7.0 and does not move.
i used 1 kg for a 180 so a 65g would require less
