As long as it meets the size limit, if you catch it you can either keep it or cook it.

ya i plan on calling them on tuesday. but no matter what they say i plan on keeping the fish i want. i just woundered if i had to keep it hush hush!!!

Check your regulations and if it doesnt say anything then if it's big enough keep it or eat it for dinner! Wild fish are more sensative to water so becareful!

Thats why everyone should check with their local DNR or Game Warden, before going out. Laws and rules vary by state, and even by mode of capture, and limit you can have. Its always better to check and be sure than to rely on Forum Info. The wardens can and will under certain circumstances take all your junk just like a drug bust, and at least there may be a healthy fine to pay.
