Thinking about getting a couple tomorrow.
They are about 6-7inches. Spangle starting to show through near the rear side and upper lateral lines. Anal and tail fins a few spots but not many. One fish, the largest said to be from the same batch has full on spangling, no mistake that particular fish is a kelberi. But it's not for sale.
Keeping a couple piquitis, monos, orins and pretty familiar with markings that identify these species.
Few questions:
- Are there any other species at this size that may mimick the spangling?
- Patterns on Kelberis can vary quite a bit, what signs might one look for that give hints as to final coloring patterning?
- Especially long lower jaw on a couple fish. Generally speaking apart from personal preference, does this take away or add to what would be called a "prestine specimen"?
I can't get pics, LFS are pretty competitive and won't allow it. Thanks
