Cichla, in general. 18" as a minimum for available cichla is probably a fair number, with 30" a possibility (or eventuality) for some types. Even Intermedia has been caught at lengths up to 19", and that's supposed to be amongst the smallest pbass.
Was just checking where you were coming from. Given the correct care, all the cichla sp. should surpass that 18" mark besides maybe interms. My smallest cichla is 18" and that's at just under 2 years old. A lot of these smaller stunted fish I think are due to mass production/breeding.
