So this morning i wake up to what i thought was a dead kelberi. After posting on another thread here about it, i go to fish him out and hes still kicking. It appeared that he was having difficulty breathing and the blood vessels in his fins were starting to show.
I immediatly started to assist him in breathing by positioning him in front of the filter output. Once he started to struggle and show signs of a fight i changed the current to an airstone. After some slight improvement i debated on wether or not to transfer him into the med tank, and ultimately decided to move him. So there he sits propped up by an airstone. I really hope he pulls through. Dosed lightly with salt and the temp in the med tank is the same as the growout at 88 degrees.
Heres the stats of the 20g long growout tank:
Params: 0 amm/ 0 Nit/ 10 Nitrates
Temp 88 degrees
Tankmates: growout C. Temensis and what looks like a mono/hybrid.
Filtration: 2 internal marineland duettos and a Marinland 60 hang on back.
Water changes are done thru a continous drip changing about 5g a day 7 days a week.
Diet: bloodworms, chopped up tilapia, feeder guppies and rosies.
The 2 other bass are perfectly healthy and i never noticed any aggresion towards the kelberi, only that he wasnt as aggressive of an eater than the other two.
I've had the kelberi for a few months now.
Any advice or suggestions for helping this guy pull thru are more than welcome.
