I didn't know this batch of Cichla would cause this much of discussion here.
None of the Cichla from this batch were sold for profit. They were given away "FREE" to my friends or part of package of fish I sold in the past along as "extra" bonus fish. No one is trying take advantage of others here.

looks like a straight mono. not to bust anyones chops but 75 percent of the so called kelberis i see on here look like peru monos. not to say that their not cool bass but the prices some people pay for these bass is rediculous. i really dont think we can know for sure if people are being honest on where these bass are being collected from or the species . i would rather pay for a captive breed kelberi so i can see the pair that the fry came from.

thats nice you feel that way but in a year from now i hope you will be eating those words. These were given to me by a very generous member on here. If they end up being Kelberi great if they end up being Peru Monos GREAT!! im happy either way. Growing out fish is one of the best part of this hobby.

im half the world away,never met him,and he risked having his azul fly over 18 hours in a luggage to me.

james i didnt mean you personally dude i just have seen alot of people on here that buy up these batches of kelberis hoping to grow em out and start seeing them color up then when they dont right away, they put em up for sale at high prices and move to the next thing.

on another note that is very nice of you to be spreading the cichla wealth by offering these to your friends for free or a bonus. i like to see more people on here being like that, i think it makes the hobby alot better i was fourtunate enough to have an azul from brian scotts batch years back given to my by cubanjey about a month ago and i told him, man you sure you dont want to just sell it on mfker and pay some of your bills.
and he laughed and said ''hey id rather give em to you so you can enjoy it too''
i sometimes think people like to bragg and boast on here about what theyve got and show off too much. keeping nice cichla shouldn't be a race or a contest. just good times and healthy fun

and i hope everyone can apreciate that and not take it the wrong way

Yeah... it's been a while. I am hoping to move, but with this market.
I can't stand looking at Cesare's tank or whatever you call that is. Dreaming to have something like that of my own.
