I spent the day fishing at a spot on the nith river that is a 5 minute bike from my house and you can imagine my surprise when I caught a walleye! Not just a walleye but a 32” walleye!!!! My biggest before that was 27” and caught hours away from my house I did not know we had big ones around me. It’s 4” off the Ontario record so I’m pretty happy! As tasty as it would have been I released it so someone else could catch it!

So I have moved and now spend most of my time targeting brook trout since that’s the only thing in my area

my biggest at 15-16”

also caught my first American eel (Anguilla rostrata) while brook trout fishing!
