Anybody else use this for their flowerhorn? I just did a big order with kens and picked up a few pounds of it for my flowerhorns. They love it. Anybody with a lot flowerhorns needs to try this stuff. It's done more for them than omega one and NLS ever has and I've only been feeding it for a few days. I have yet to try any specialty flowerhorn foods due to price but I can vouch for this stuff if you've got a flowerhorns to feed. Anybody waiting to try the kens food don't hesitate, I strictly feed omega one, NLS, and kensfish. It's all good you just have to buy the right stuff for your fish

I also tried the no carb food for the first time. It's good stuff for the right fish but it's more for mellow fish like severums.

Feel free to add to the list of foods from kens that you feed to your flowerhorn if you've had experience with any other foods. I've also been feeding "
KENS PREMIUM SLOW SINKING GROWTH PELLETS 2.0MM: (HIGH PROTEIN & FAT)" for a long time, I just figured I'd try something new this time. The slow sinking growth does exactly what is says. I feed it to all of my grow outs and with all the protein my fish get huge fast.

THIS IS THE BOMB!!!!

I love kens fish food and I use it now as the base for my pellet blends with chingmix. I though it would be an issue because it sinks but they warmed up to it fast :)
lol i have some protien sinking pellet too but it sink lmao and i only feed it to my baby flowerhorn in a bar bottom tank.how will a big flowerhorn like my new rd eat small sinking pellet like that is it can barely see it? lol and the pellet got into the gravle too? i really need help lmao.but other then that it works great.oh and i notice that if the fish dont eat the pellet the pellet turn into fungus really fast like the very next day lol

The 5mm isn't too small. I'd say it's good size for any fish under 7-8". None of your flowerhorns sift through the gravel for food? And what do you expect the uneaten food to do in your tank if you leave it in there for a day?

They have a ton of good food for dirt cheap.

Been using Kens food for a couple years now. I'm very pleased with it and will not try any others pellets anytime soon, except chingmix.

I use the veggie flakes, spuralina flake, soft krill pellets, color enhancing pellets and the bits, growth pellets and bits, premium cichlid pellets and the premium grow meal for the fry. I must say my FH don't like the premium cichlid pellets much.

I've noticed the same thing. I feed omega one floating pellets as my staple and then I feed a bunch of different sinking kens, and then I will feed some kens flake. It works out good though because I know omega one is one of the best pellets, and kens has the best sinking and a good assortment of flakes. As for kens floating, I've tried the cichlid and premium cichlid and my fish didn't like them as much as the omega one so it would usually just end up a mess in my tank.

I just figured I'd throw this food up because it would be a great addition to any flowerhorns diet. It's so cheap for so much and it does a lot for your fishes color. This would be a good one to feed your flowerhorn a few times a day.

cam, LMK next time you order. We can split shipping. Dan sent me some of this stuff, and my FH's friggin love this stuff.

I should have asked but it's so cheap anyways shipping usually isn't too bad.. I ended up with like 14 pounds of food, a specimen container, water conditioner, and a few airline control kits for like $130.. Next time I order I want 5lbs of this stuff.
