I would give that Goldfish a pass to stay in there until it died.

Hard to see but im pretty sure i spy a barbel on that snoot. I'm more inclined to think that's a koi. As much as I love both koi and GF, I'd still have to say don't put it back. Invasives do too much damage to our local waterways.

From private pond apparently, and yes I'd definitely say it's a koi.
