Well SOME people keep them in the sand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIOpAOF5zIU&feature=related) but I think aspen would be a better idea.

And BTW, where is a reputable place to get em cheap? Is reptiledepot.com any good?
i think in all sand they wouldd not breath as well if fully submerged so the snout would be stickin out most the time wher as in carefresh or aspen they could breath well under it .Is that true? And god i hate that dang song in that vid.Sounds like a freakin monkey and i listen to hard rock and metal so im not baggin on the music i just dont get stupid vocals, and he thinks its all hard to,lol.Sorry, dont know where that all came from.:screwy:

i like those snakes, one of the few i always wanted but wondered if it would drive me nuts them always hiding.Have you looked at the rosys.Sort of like them but out a bit more.Depends on what your wanting one for.

I know a few breeders that keep them on sand with no issues. Except for females giving birth as the sand sticks to newly-born neonates.
nice avatar, love the muppets for life:headbang2

lol i cracked up about the song comments :P

and yeah Ive seen rosys but They would be 85$ + shipping... and apparantly get bigger too. Maybe after a couple paychecks, but I dont have 110 to spend on the snake alone at the moment.

Yeah, some people do, which is fine...I just find the Aspen or CareFresh bedding much easier to deal with. I would just avoid any sort of crushed walnut beddings...they can lead to impaction.

In my opinion, I would pick up a Reptiles Magazine and look for a show that is coming around in your area. That way you can actually see the animal you are buying and you don't have to risk shipping it across the country...especially in the winter.
