Yeah,when it was covered on our local news last night they would not show the injury,just his teammates reactions,they said it was too graphic...I was thinking the bone must have torn out through his leg.

It did, 6 inches. You can't see the bone on the replay, but you do see the leg just snap.

Apparently doctors are now saying he can start playing basketball in 6 months.

Oh and I've seen stuff like this on tosh.0, yet this still was gruesome.

Reminds me of when pro wrestler Sid Vicious jumped down off of the turnbuckle and snapped his leg nearly in half as he landed.

this thing isn't common but it has happened several times in mma. I was gonna post a video I found but it had rap music and profanity.
 
I mistakingly clicked on a close up photo of his leg on Facebook (the bone was covered in the limited view given before you click on the photo) and it was straight up nasty.
