A frame pool, I would give it a try for an RTC..............

I would say that pool is bigger than said and it would hold an RTC for life.

Im pround to have enough knowledge to say putting a RTC in a 250 gal uncycled kiddie pool would be dangerous. This site need to be more responsibily as it promotes itself to be a source of information for larger aquatic fish, do you realize the impact it could have if barracuda but his RTC in an uncycled tank like WILDFYA suggested? Will you take responsibility, that how these fish die and get gill curl off of bad advice.

do me a favor call your local pool store and ask for their cheap 150$ kiddie pool to put you 3' MF's......tell me what they say, because im a licensed contractor and im pretty sure it will be laughter followed by a click*

An RTC shouldnt be bought before the tank....end of story

First of all, that pool is obviously nowhere near 250 gallons (:screwy:). And second; I find it very ironic how you claim to be knowledgable, considering your apparent inability to create an intelligible post.

But back on topic: What you do with your living room is your business, but no, I personally would prefer not to have a pool in my living room.

I there is something you are trying to prove, you should try and do so without taking stabs at fellow members and moderators. This site is about learning and sharing in the fish keeping hobby. If you are here to just point out other people's mistakes without providing some constructive criticism, then you are probably not going to find this place to be a fun place to visit.

If you want to encourage proper husbandry, I suggest you write/create and article regarding specific topics and do so in an informative manner. Continuing to poke at those that may or may not know more about keeping fish will get you nowhere.

Do you think a 250 gal "kiddie pool" is a good permanent home for a MF? Also known as a "frame pool" its is similiar to a koi show tank but a 1/4 the cost. Would you put it in your living room with a RTC? Explain why or why not in a friendly manner.

The pool you link to is about 2,250 gallons. Was that a typo or did you really believe a 12' diameter pool only holds 250 gallons? :nilly:

Like previously stated, I wouldn't put it in my living room but I'd defiantly go forth and properly keep fish in it.

Hope all goes well. - What filtration were your planning on using?
