No I don't, I feed him Cichlid Gold, Hikari Krill, market shrimp, tilapia, night crawlers and occasionally some beefheart.

I must admit I tried a goldfish once but he didn't care for it.. just killed it and swam off.. thats a good thing though :D

gold fish aren't good ,maybe try some natives ,i used to feed my cichlids giving them natives, diet based on live fish helps fishes to grow faster

Yea I know they aren't good.. but it was more of a "will he do it" type deal. I started raising cons to feed to him but they just take too long to get to a size that he will pay attention to so I got too impatient with growing my own feeders.

yes i agree cons grow to slow to be good feeders, maybe try to catch some fish for him

Here are some more.. The first pic I tried to do an "action" shot of him shooting across the tank. I did add one Powerglo bulb, so now I have one daylight bulb and one powerglo bulb. However TBH I didn't see a big difference between the two, maybe I will if I switch to all powerglo bulbs.

And here is the little lady that I'm growing out for him.. She's about 4"+, but he still doesn't like her yet.

always nice to see this guy. he is looking great and i'm sure your quite pleased with him :)
females are very underestimated and i think there are some that are equally as nice as males in their own way. good luck with trying to pair them up

also with the fluros you are using. i have recently switched all my 4 fluros on my dovii tank to T8 'powerglo' bulbs. i used to have 2 daylight tubes. personally i think it makes a difference. the daylight globes seem to give a gold look to my dovii. T8's make him more silver and a reddish hue to his sides
