Killer Dovii colors..

Wish mine would glass bang. Hes 7.5 inches and hides all day pretty much. Dont know what to do... Ill just have to give him time.... Uhg.. HAHA

dev dev, put him in with the other bigger fish.
he'll be out more.
i'd take any small fish out though.

my dovii liked chiling in his cave unless i watched him for like 5 minutes then he'd come out, but in a community he was always out.

when are you getting him a big tankk?

Im thinking of getting him a 72"x36"x25" (lxwxh) tank in about a year or so, once he hits round 15"

And the only fish in my 180 he wouldn't kill is my Oscar. That leaves my Salvini, Festae, GT, Carpinte, and Loisellei. I tried putting my Loisellei in with him, that didn't work, My old Carpinte would have raped him because he was much bigger, and the Jag he would battle all the time, but due to the extreme size difference, he became the less dominant fish. Then my Pacu sacrifice got ick in my friends tank, so he flushed it. Figured it would be cheaper to buy a new one then get the chemicals to treat the ick. I could try and put him in the 180, but it wouldn't be as entertaining a tank with only two cichlids plus my cats and plecs.

mudfrog, from all the dovii pics i've ever seen, i think your dovii's colors and pattern is the best! :) keep posting his pics, i'll never get tired of looking at it.
