Killer Knife!!!

There were about 2 hiding ,both logs.one is about 10 inch , the other about 3.

He killed 2 other BGK'S previously. I thought keeping alot of BGKs together decrese aggersion.

That's a myth. Some fish you can do that with, such as Dats and African Cichlids, but not with Knives. As BGKs grows, they become more territorial with other Knives. Pet shops can them together because they're usually sold small when they will still tolerate each other, but they will usually separate the large ones.

Sorry for you losses How many hiding spots were in your tank? You probably would've lost either the Elephant or the BGK because of the electrical pulses they emit. One of them would've killed the other for territorial purposes.

Well, thats the problem...people might have the set up but int he long run it wont work......its just a rule of thumb

He isn't eating anymore! Tried worms,red food stones, bloodworms but he is'nt eating anythng after he finished the ele and pleco.Its been a week since then.

the first nite i got my ck he ate the arowana that was bigger than him. my ck lives all by himself now

He's probably still full from the rampage last week.
Solitary confinement might be the answer till you can put a larger buddy in there for him...

You cant stop mother nature. When a predatory fish is hungery, it will eat. You will need to find bigger size fish to have as tank mates. I have a 23" GCK with two very large ID sharks. Big body fish not skinny ones work better. Good luck.

I've gpt three BGKs together in my tank and they are getting along well, except for the occasional tail nip. The largest is about 9" long and the other two are almost as big. I do think they sometimes attack my leopard pleco at night though, as occasionally I wake up to find him with a shredded tail.
