Yep he does have a very nice red tint to fins when in the right light but yes those little red things are bumps there not that big but still there he has one or two in a few of his other fins as we'll
 
Those are normal and common from all the odoes I've seen. Just make sure you have all openings no matter how small are blocked/sealed. They are jumpers

Not to worry ;) there are Bichirs in this tank as we'll so its been we'll covered for a while
 
we'll it ate somethin the other day not what i expected though

I tried all sorts of stuff with little results it mouthed a piece of krill but spit it out so i gave up one night and fed all the rest of the fish in the tank and to my supprise it was eating somethin but when i saw what it was i couldn't help but laugh

WHAT !?! did it eat you say ? we'll the one thing that its eaten so far is FISH FLAKES !!!

my dorados the same.
theres two things he'll eat.
pellets and mealworms.
he wont touch feeders,shrimp,smelt,any other worm,flakes,krill or anything else.:D
 
Cool odoe. i have one too, they look great once they hit the 8'' mark. fatten him up he should take shrimp within a week.
 
:nilly: doesn't even show much interest in feeders i'll break him though it will probably just take a little time
 
Ate a piece of tilapia today :) and the red bumbs are looking better i'll post an up date soon
