kimbo's next fight

Its hard to have discussions about MMA because there are very few, if any, absolutes and every fight is different.

Not to mention that what weight class you are talking about has a huge impact on who can win or what style is better.

Heavyweights routinely get away with mediocre ground game simply because heavyweights generally stay standing. If you try to fight 155 and have no ground game, you're a dead man.

Kimbo is a beast, but not even close to being worthy of the fame that he has. Kimbo is great in the world of YouTube. Put him up against someone like Frank Mir or Tim Silvia, and you'll quickly see who the real fighters are.

Yeah Kimbo is a Monster. He's fun to watch. Hopefully in time he'll get better and they put him up against the big names. But for now my vote for a good Heavyweight is Fedor Emelianenko.

While most of this information is probably correct, I don't see how this would hinder discussions. People who know the sport, take all of that into consideration while discussing it.

i dont get why everyone has to say "kimbo is crap, put him against randy, liddel, or any big fighter and he's gone"

does anyone stop for one minute to think these guys have been in more PRO fights, and trained for more years, than kimbo has hairs on his head at this point in time?? your comparing a rookie, to all-star veterans.

this guy is an absolute beast, and will most likely be a force to recon with in the MMA world eventually. toe to toe, straight up fists, he could stand up to alot of the big fighters if you ask me. unfortunetly, theres more to MMA than that, as we all know. but having Bas rutten training him, im sure he's learning what he needs. Bas was an AMAZING fighter, hands down one of the best all around fighters to ever grace MMA. if he can transfer some of what he knows to kimbo, that mans set

if MMA dont work out, he would make one hell of a pro boxer. he has the punching power thats needed to rock a heavyweight.

this is all pretty good^^^^^^^,yeah I dont see why ppl are bashing him so much.Like you say he is the new guy,why are ppl comparing him to pros?Really guys, your comparing him to pros, you see that right?I just thought of something, lets say I was in some ghetto bar, grip of guys wanted to kick my butt.I could have some grappler guy get my back and while he is trying to choke one guy to death, the rest are stump breakin me.With Kimbo their, now your knockin dogs left and right.I know thats outside the ring and its far fetched but still fun to entertain.Kimbo can take punchs like not many others, that I think is real real good to have.Kimbo is a bad ass street boxer and if some day he just boxes than cool.Right now hes just rollin with the punches and making a better life for himself and his family.I think most ppl are only mad because you let advertising and commercialization get to you. They build him up so much for ratings and you guys cant just see through that for what it is,I know this because I let it get to me too sometimes.Push mute on your tv at all times except while watching your actual program. It helps.lol.:mr-t::mr-t::mr-t::mr-t::mr-t::mr-t::cheers:

<<<<<<< I bet Mr. T can beat Kimbo!!!:grinno:
