So basically my sea chem tidal 110 was running very strong for 6 months now its dead... they are sending another one out tommorrow should be like 3 days but any tips for keeping my bacteria alive? I don't have anywhere else to put the filter media...

In the tank. If you have an airstone and air pump, put it under the media. Or if you have other filters, near the intake to those filters

I agree with above...
Lightly rinse the media in tank water to remove physical waste. Place it in the tank. Use water you have to move water (airstone, powerhead, etc).

I have a couple of the tidal 110's as well in my 75's. They have been rock solid for a year now, but I also back each tank up with a sponge filter, just in case. For as cheap as they are I figure, might as well have some insurance.
Yah thats fair yah I guess my tank is actually a 135 gallon I found out yesterday but I have a cascade canister 2 sponge filters and the sea Chem just in case if something was to happen like this. Looking back now I'm happy I have so many different filters going on in this tank.
