Hi guys, my names Sean. Nice to meet you all. I'm trying to figure out what kind of Oscar this lil guy is. I think he or she might be a dragon blood Oscar but I'm not sure. She was in the tiger Oscar tank at the pet store but that isn't the case.

Oh okay, do they get very colorful? Because she or he has pink coming out of himself/herself as well as aqua at times. It's changing a lot. Today he or she has had alot of pink. Half of its eyeballs were aqua before as well as its body.
And if you may, I also feed it small slow sinking pellets because he or she is so small. I'd like to feed this lil guy medium size floating pellets to prevent sinking into gravel to keep tank cleaner and it also gets stuck in the filter suction head as well. Do you think he or she is big enough? I tried a couple times and he or she spit it out, tried to chew it but spit it out. I also feed it small mysis shrimp and freeze dried crickets in which I break up.
Depends on diet. You can feed foods with more carotenoids to increase the orange intensity. Some of the "lower quality" albino reds get a sort of pale orange but you can make the most of it. Feed it things like krill or diets specifically made for red enhancement. Look for ingredients such as red seaweeds, marigolds, and or krill.
As for what it is, I say red lutino (albino red with black fins). It will keep the black fins as it ages. The red oscars don't really change much as they age, their colors just get more intense/solid/matte.
Okay, thank you! I feed him mysis shrimp along with the slow sinking pellets, I also do freeze dried crickets twice a week. I'll pick up freeze dried krill, or would you recommend live? May I feed him this as a daily feeding three times a day with the pellets til he gets bigger? I know the feeding slows down when they get 5-6 inches.
