I'm at work right now and I just got a call telling me that the power is out at my house. Apparently it has been out for the last hour and a half. As I mentioned I'm here 30 minutes away so there's nothing I can do. I hope everything makes it, but with no way to add air or anything... ugh, well, I guess we'll see what happens.
:(

ergh what a feeling. Hope everything is alright when you get back. How stocked is it?

I'm 30 minutes away so I wouldn't be able to get much done over lunch. My tanks are pretty stocked. I have a 180 125 55 46 40 29 20 20 20 10. I'm most worried about the 180 and the 125.

Here's the 180

and the 125 is my pair of jags and a bunch of fry. The gars and poly's I'm not worried about... Many of my cat's and my pbass and my pike are on my mind too.

Ahhh, and all my beautiful plecos!!!!!!!! crap...

You should be fine. I have dealt with that problem with reef aquariums...now that is a problem.

Most of the fish you are keeping are use to being in less than perfect conditions for usually much longer than a power outage. Think about the things they go through in the wild. Dry seasons with no water, heat waves, etc.

or just a d battery powerd pump would be fine.I have 12 of them:}

The only problem with that is you never know when the power will go out and if you use only battery pumps the batteries would get expensive. Plus you never know when battery will die when you are gone for the day.
