Kinda unique jd

Pulled this guy scared and beat up out of a tank at a lfs. They had three split up in a few tanks. I didnt see his color at the store and i have a possible female in another tank who will not gain any color. She is plain pale yellow. No black, spangling, blue lines nothing. Im hoping she settles in soon to see her true colors. Well this one got his color and surprised me. Never been able to find one with red in its throat and head. The fish is always allll the way in the back of the tank so good pics are almost impossible. Enjoy!

Saw a jd at pet smart today that had the best looking reds I've seen yet, and great colors also. Looked Like yours but redder. Might have to go back and pick it up. Very unique jd

Not necessarily true... Jds can completely vary in colors and look entirely different. Pet smart can carry amazing looking fish. But I see where your coming from.. For the most part they aren't too great looking. But some are, and this was one of them.
