All rays are different, but if they're going to darken then I would say at 1 year or less. Others with more experience will hopefully chime in.

My new 16" male is constantly harrassing the two "smaller" females. They're 19" and 23". I witnessed him breeding the 23", but not sure if he got it in with the 19 incher. She's getting pretty tore up so I would hope so. Anyways, my question is do the breeders out there move the males out once they've done the deed or do you leave them in and let nature take its course?
It will depend if he will leave her alone. Sometimes they will back off once prego. Sometimes thru will stress them out

He seems to have backed off the 23". Maybe he's yet to get the smaller female. I'll let him have some more fun before removing him.. thanks, keepin.
