King kong or not? male or female?

The one in the pic above is under a NAN (red) light. Most likely orange without the artificial enhancement. I would guess that many are also juiced with hormones to enhance color.

The pic of my fish above was taken with a $10 point & shoot, under a single strip daylight (white) LED fixture, and washed out from the flash. She's about as red as it gets in pre & post spawn coloration.

20180927_220722.jpg Also i bought 2 of this a while ago sold to me as fowerhorn parrots. the guy i got them from breed thems himself. he uses a male flowerhorn and a female blood parrot. i was told by someone here that this is a pure flowerhorn which i don't believe. thanks for all your help.
