King Kong parrots/ blood parrots

ive been looking into getting a kingkong parrot or a blood parrot, however i dont know much information about them, (diet, temperment, etc.) i want something thats brightly colored, kinda big, entertaining and eats other fish. im leaning more towards the King Kong often called purple. any advice?

Ur right and good luck trying to get them to eat fish they can barley eat flake if you want sumthin colorfull and large get a veija of any variety

They aren't 'supposed' to exist.

Since their mouths are supposed to be like that, then it's "supposed" to be too small to eat other fish.

they will eat any cichlid pellet and treats. they eat like pigs. king kong parrots can usually close their mouths. they are fun fish to have and they have no problems eating, swimming, or eating from the surface. there are alot of falsehoods that are spread about them. bps can't eat any fish that they can't get completely in their mouths, so you have alot of options for tankmates.

my parrots have always gone after any fish they can swallow especially elongated ones, like siamese algae eaters. they are just not that efficient in catching them like other cichlids because they can't really bite the fish but do manage to catch them in the end. the fish is generally safe if its body height is larger than the parrot's mouth.

I don't think a BP can eat another fish. A King Kong on the other hand can.
