Are we talking King or Heavy weight champion? Discus have to be treated as royalty or they won't thrive that makes them king. As far as general agression and size sounds like a Dovii or Umbee would have to battle for the title. Do Flowerhorns count... some people treat them like GODS.

I just don't neccesarily think the king of cichlids has to be an aggressive tank buster. To me based on all the fish I've kept over the years I'd have to say that the Herichthys Pearsi is just a majestic fish and a true leader that holds a tank together. Not a glass banger just a classy amazing fish that I adore. Plus they grow huge. But if we're talking about true brutes I'd have to say the Umbie.
