Anyone know max size on them, all info says 4-5" but the shop is @ 4" already? Already have a blue phantom and gold nugget, will it get along, read some are territorial(sp?)?

hypancistrus sp.
King tiger L066

Max size 5"

temp 80

as to compatibility, it is dependent on your tank size, and temperament of the gold nugget. Often GN are more territorial then others. If you provide enough space, and hiding spots, as well as feeding locations, there shouldn't be a problem. Assuming you aren't planning on housing these three in a 10 gallon.

pH 6.5-7.5. Not a good algae eater And likes to be provided with mainly meaty foods such as bloodworm and even brineshrimp. so will compete with GN, also a meat eater. But if your tank is big enough theyll be fine, with plenty of hideouts. The L066 does get more territorial with age. Just keep an eye on them, i've heard of plenty of people keeping them together.

Have a breeding group of these guys that seem to be adults. Definitely all above 4 inches and seem to be about 5 inches. Males can be territorial and will inevitably chase eachother around during feeding. The L066 is fairly mellow compared to others. Like the above people say many hypancistrus are mainly meateaters. Mine have a real tough time taking pellets and take blood worms and krill. The gn and the blue phantom are however one of the more aggreesive varieties. So depending on size of the fish, size of the tanks, and hiding spaces, everything should be fine.
