What's scorpion-like about this turtle? It had to get the species name somehow.

Thanks, they are definitely an awesome small turtle species that is much easier to keep and maintain compared to many of the more common species.

Many of the males (and some of the females) in this genus have a small horn-like projection at the tip of their tail.
