I know what you mean, hoping to see any Flowerhorn looking fish come out.

I moved a male and two females to another tank to see if I can get another pair going.

Have you considered pairing your know fertile male with a regular female bp?

I have and I plan on it in the future as soon as I can find a small female. Sucks that the Walmarts around don't carry them anymore, used to be able to get nice Parrots for $5. But I guess its good they don't carry them anymore.

I don't mean to derail, but I've had similar problems with that green-frame & mesh breeder box. One REALLY good alternative I found is by Marina, it actually hangs on the outside and uses an air pump to flow water through. Also makes very easy to clean until the fry are ready for their own grow-out.

My Wal-Mart here has 7 of them stuffed in a 5 gallon. I have to resist trying to 'save' them, haha. Really excited for these little guys!

So the next batch is being lain right now, gonna leave these with the parents and see how they do. Had a few die offs in the current batch and a few more look like they are on deaths door so we will see how these so.

You should let the parents keep a few this batch. Female parrots are really good with fry, wonder if males are too?

Is it possible to have kirins fade like fader flowerhorns?
I don't know much bout hybrids so I'm just wondering
