going on saturday for 3 weeks , been trawling the net loking for some fishing , has anyone been over thgere & can offer me some advice on where to go , any kind really
i am a very experienced fly fisherman but would really try anything

scotland but will be buying tackle when i am over as its so cheap compared to here
i bought a loomis native run fly rod last time $280 , over here its £600 which is a $1000
no comparison eh !

wow thats a ton of money even for a rod like a loomis but they are great i own 2 greenwater series.you should buy some small yozuri crystal minnows they work great for me down in south florida.

thanks for that , i will do , have you any advice where i can go etc, dont mind travelling at all , really fancy some of the saltwater fishing you have over there
any links hints & tips would be really appreciated

Theres Turkey Lake in Orlando, and theres Wekiva springs but that might not be much good if you dont have a boat.

There are a bunch of great bass lakes in that area, and you are not far from Lake Okeechobee which is prob the 2nd or third best bass lake in the US (behind Fork and maybe Shasta). There are a ton of good guide services on Lake Okeechobee. Also if you have a car I highly recommend driving down to Miami and fishing for cichlids and Pbass in the canal systems.

Okeechobee is great you can catch big Peacock bass there http://southfloridafishing.org/index.html. Maintenance guy at work caught monsters .


Canals you dont need a boat so for me only way but with boat Okeechobee is as of now bringing up PB monsters. Seems to fluctuate month after month.

I havent gone in a while to hot lol.
