Exactly Chris. Parrots are like Red dragons( iheard from Keith), there are qualities about them. The bigger ones develope and fill into shape as they gain size and mass. As long as they arent stunt and too deformed like blood parrots, they can get big. Big takes space and time, hence farms and ponds.
