Hey,
for quite a while I am thinking about keeping KKP/Red Mammon or Red Texas.
But here in Germany you usually won't find them at all.
IF somebody imports them the prices are not affordable at all!

A while ago I found a Czech shop selling KKP.
Small ones for 35 Euro and bigger ones for about 70 Euro.
And I contacted a person who bought her KKP there.
She's quite satisfied with the quality of the fish and sent me some pictures:

In my opinion they are looking very good!
No deformations at all and a nice red/purple coloration.

What do you think about the quality and the price?
And another question would be if some males are fertile.
If I am buying KKP I'd buy a single one but I'd love to try crossbreeding them with Herichthys (texas cichlid) 'cause as far as I know the offspring should be a good start to breed Red Texas.

They look like pretty decent quality. Red Texas breeding is a pretty large project and will take you a long time to get it right/get quality red Texas. I would suggest buying several females and putting them in a large tank with your carpintis male to improve chances of getting a solid pair that won't be a struggle to breed.
