Hey,
the vent is pointed not flat.
Should be a male then.
That's ok since I'll put it in my 120gal display tank.
But I honestly would like to start breeding so I gotta get a female as well since the males are infertile, right?
Thinking about it I know of male fertile kirin parrots so since the KKP is basically a cross between a parrot and another CA cichlid (most likely Amphilophus) there is a chance a male might be fertile as well!
I guess I'll get two more.
They are 20 Euros each which I find totally find considering the quality.

There are only 10 left so.. had to take this chance I guess.
The little male is showing a LOT of personality.
He's interested at anything going on in front of the tank.
I already moved him in the 120gal which is located downstairs.
Right now he is with my Blue Dempsey.
It's working but the KKP sometimes gets a little aggressive towards the BD.
Aaaaaand I just had to when I ordered more Delhezis:
I've got two Green Texas juveniles.
At least once I want to try breeding Red Texas.
Mostly for display purpose because I really love the look.
With 550gal I should have enough space IF it comes to breeding.
And I've added a little close up of the face.
It is able to close the mouth completely which is very important in my opinion!
Although it is a shortbody I could not see any disadvantage in its activities or behaviour compared to normal Amphilophus.
I've been very sceptical because I know fish like sb goldfish, mollies, gouramis etc. suffer from being bred as shortbody which is showing by the impaired movement and "floppy" movement.

Having problems with cloudy water (even after 100% waterchanges) at the moment, I gueds I have to upgrade the filter!
The two new KKP are dominated by the 'old' one.
Not hurting them but always showing who's the boss.
If it gets out of hand I'll seperate them.
They are a lot like 'normal' Amphilophus.

Lovely fish. Sadly parrots don't keep those blue markings on the fins. They fade as they mature.
