I'm guessing that playing tennis for a few years did the initial damage but I believe that racing road and mountain bikes finished them off.

Yea that will do it....My entire body is haggered I race Pro. Motocross been racing since i was 9 and now im 19 I have blown both my knees out broke my back both ankles wrist many times humerous ribs compound fracture collar bone....list goes on...in fact im healing from a turn rotATOR CUFF torn bicep and shattered shoulder joint happened in august of 08 :D

A dirt bike accident is what caused my previous surgery. I tore my meniscus while out riding my KTM 250 XC. I decided to go ahead and sell that bike about a month ago. I hated to do it but I've got too may responsibilities to risk it.

I just had surgery a month or so ago on a torn meniscus. I feel your pain, but I was walking normal in less than 24 hrs. Never had to take a single pill prescribed, just a couple anti-inflammatory pills. But I seem to respond well to pain.

Sucks to hear this one went so rough. I hope it gets better

When I had my right knee operated on in February they went in to fix the torn meniscus and told me that I should be back on the bike within a week or two. Once he got into my knee he found out that my patella did not track properly so they had to perform the lateral release. He also found grade 3 (grade 4 is the worst) so he scraped as much of that away as he could. I was out of the hospital an hour after the surgery.

This time I didn't have to have the meniscus fixed, they just did the lateral release and scraped away the arthritis.

:( sounds like you are really having a hard time. i hope you get better soon, is your living room down stairs? try and watch movies and stuff, just to take your mind off things. how are you managing with food etc? good thing you have your mum and neighbour to keep an eye on you.

That's horrible, I hope that you can get through the pain and recover soon.

Yes, living room is downstairs, all four bedrooms are upstairs though so I'm stuck sleeping on the couch. Mom stopped by earlier, neighbor called to check on me a little bit ago and my wife should be home in another hour or two. The living room and kitchen are on the first floor along with the 55" TV and the 106" screen. :D

I'll be wearing netflix instant movies (roku box) out for the next couple of weeks. So far my nurse is being great to me, she is letting me rub her belly as much as I want and she hasn't been bothering me to let her out. She hasn't even jumped on my knee yet.

I've also got a great Bruce Lee dvd collection that a buddy of mine loaned me and some other movies to watch. The only problem is that I can't get up to load the dvd's and blu-rays to watch them. Hopefully I'll be able to get around on crutches in another day or two.

all this pain from just arthroscopic surgery??

That seems VERY VERY VERY odd... it is a pretty non-invasive surgery.

non-invasive are u serious? anytime there is a puncture or incision into the skin it is invasive.

hope u feel better bro.
