knife fish aggresive!?!?! help!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think the knife would have done that after one bite. Pics are hard to see. I would lose that lava rock too. They are very abrasive It's gonna tear that ray apart. Kept an eye on the tank see if any fish are getting aggressive toward each other. And watch that wound make sure it doesn't get infected. Keep up on water changes

How will it get infected?

Just an update looks to me like everyone has established territory :) no aggression only when knife fish gets into my water cows personal space looks to me like he only minds the clown knife in his space he don't care much about the pleco or ray in his face only clown knife hmmm weird

Glad to hear looking at he pic good chance he got stuck on the lava rock.

I've had a clown knife for about 2 months now and in two months he's eaten or killed 1 dinasaur bichir 1 red tail shark 4 tricolor sharks and a peacock eel that was 4inches bigger then him. I'm thinking of starting a memorial wall. While I know now that the clown knife probily shouldn't have gone in that mix he is still the most agressive fish I have ever kept. Great animal but agressive and a voracious eater I've started keeping a feeder or two in the tank at all times and he's been leaving my pleco alone sence.
